So its been a pretty inconsistent winter for for quality big swells in cornwall and most of the beaches have had pretty bad banks down this way. With the odd good sessions at Porthtowan and Porthleven i was left feeling a bit dissatisfied and one phone call from a photographer and a friend in the north east predicting 6ft empty barrels i didn’t take much persuading to book a couple of days off of work and jump in the car heading for the North East. Circle One had just sorted me out a new winter suit so I knew the cold wasn’t going to be an issue. As it turned out the weather was clear and bright with no wind and the predictions came true. Here are a couple of the shots as the sun went down on a very fun session…. However – If you if you don’t go .. you really don’t know.
