Circle One is the leading manufacturer of epoxy and carbon fibre skimboards in the UK. If you are looking for a premium skimboard to develop your skimboarding, improve your tricks and take the sport further than you ever can with a standard wooden skimboard, then you must try an epoxy or carbon fibre skimboard. With sleek graphics and tried-and-tested construction and materials, our skimboards pair fun and performance with great value. They are perfect for all abilities whether you are new to the sport and looking for a robust fibreglass skimboard rather than a thinner wooden board, or you are progressing into deeper water and trick skimboarding. These boards will sand skim in the shallows brilliantly but unlike wooden skimboards they have added volume to get you skimming out to waves, and riding them. Beginners will love to learn the basics of skimboarding on a floaty and forgiving board, intermediates will progress quicker into deeper water and experts can try their tricks on waves on these lightweight but strong skimboards.
Circle One Skimboards are well constructed and hand finished to give a high strength to weight ratio, essential for a strong, durable and fast board. We’ve also known our skimboards to be great fun for wakeboarding/ wakeskating and kitesurfing too for a fluid, skate feel!

What Size Skimboard Should I Choose?
We have a rough size guide table based on rider weight which should narrow it down, but usually people find they are between two sizes and cannot decide which to go for:
Ultimately it is down to personal preference and riding style. A smaller board is a bit lighter, easier to hold and throw down, slightly more maneuverable and spins easier. Better for smaller and lighter riders and those who love doing tight tricks. A larger board will have more float and stability in the water, and is also faster and will skim further. So a longer board will be better for larger or heavier riders and those who want to get out into deeper water and who prefer straight-line and faster riding.
Should I Go For Carbon or Epoxy?
The main difference between the carbon fibre skimboard and the epoxy ones is that the addition of the 6oz carbon fibre layer provides extra rigidity and a smaller flex window meaning increased feedback and a hyper-responsive ride. The carbon boards are stronger and come in those longer sizes for better glide out into deeper water. For those new to the sport you are unlikely to notice a lot of difference as the epoxy skimboards are amazing boards and great for taking your skimboarding to the next level. We love the sleek looks of the carbon fibre boards too!
