What is Finasteride?
Finasterid is a steroid reductase inhibitor. Finasteride is used certain types of male pattern hair loss (androgenic alopecia) in men. Finasteride reduces the amount of hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the body. This may block certain types of hair loss in men.
Tell your doctor if any of these apply to you:
- an unusual or allergic reaction to Finasteride, other medicines, foods, dyes, preservatives, or other substances
- you are female (finasteride is not for use in women)
- you have kidney or liver disease
- you have prostate cancer
How to use:
- Strictly follow your doctor's instructions
- Follow the directions on the prescription label
- Finasteride may be taken either with or without food
- Take your doses at regular intervals
- If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can
- Avoid taking double or extra doses
Safety issues:
- Do not donate blood until at least 6 months after your final dose of Finasteride.
- If there is no improvement in your symptoms contact your doctor as soon as possible.
- Finasteride can interfere with PSA laboratory tests for prostate cancer. Contact your doctor if you are scheduled to have a lab test for prostate cancer.

Possible side effects:

- sexual difficulties (less sexual desire or ability to get an erection)
- skin rash
What is the shelf life of the pills?
