What is Baclofen?

Baclofen is a muscle relaxant. It is used to treat muscle spasms cause by multiple sclerosis or other diseases. It reduces the frequency and severity of muscle spasms that occur as a result of neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis.

Alert your doctor if any of these apply to you:

  • you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
  • you have bleeding disorders
  • you have an unusual or allergic reaction to Baclofen, other medicines, foods, dyes, preservative, or other substances
  • you have diabetes
  • you have seizures (convulsions)
  • you have mental illness
  • you have kidney disease
  • you have recently had stroke

How to use:

  • Strictly follow your doctor's instructions
  • Follow the directions on the prescription label
  • Take your doses at regular intervals
  • Do not stop taking Baclofen until your doctor say so
  • If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible
  • Avoid taking double or extra doses

What medicines may interact with Baclofen?

  • other muscle relaxants
  • medicines for high blood pressure

Possible side effects:

  • difficulty passing urine or increased need to urinate
  • slurred speech or problems talking

  • skin rash, hives

  • seeing or hearing things that are not there (hallucinations)
  • mood or mental changes
  • ringing or buzzing in the ears
  • rapid heart beat

  • changes in taste
  • nausea, vomiting
  • confusion
  • muscle weakness
  • constipation
  • headache
  • diarrhea
  • dry mouth
  • drowsiness

  • insomnia

What is the shelf life of the pills?
