What is Isosorbide Mononitrate?

Isosorbide Mononitrate is a type of vasolidator. It is used for long-term treatment of angina associated with coronary artery disease. It works by relaxing blood vessels, increasing the blood and oxygen supply to the heart.

Tell your doctor if any of these apply to you:

  • pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
  • anemia
  • an unusual or allergic rection to Isosorbide Mononitrate, other medicines, foods, dyes, preservatives, or other substances
  • dizziness or fainting spells
  • stomach or intestinal disease
  • glaucoma
  • overactive thyroid
  • head injury, recent stroke, or bleeding in the brain
  • previuos heart attack
  • low blood pressure, or low blood volume

How to use:
