What is Fluconazole?

Fluconazole is an azole antigungal. It is used to treat and prevent certain yeast and fungal infections. It works by killing sensitive fungi by interfering with the formation of the fungal cell membrane.

Alert your doctor if any of these apply to you:

  • pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
  • an unusual or allergic reaction to Fluconazole, other medicines, foods, dyes, preservatives, or other substances
  • kidney or liver disease
  • heart disease
  • other chronic illness

How to use:

  • Strictly follow your doctor's instructions
  • Follow the directions on the prescription label
  • Take your doses at regular intervals
  • Do not stop taking Fluconazole until you are told so by your doctor
  • If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can

  • vomiting
  • dark yellow or brown urine
  • yellowing of the eyes or skin
  • dizziness
  • unusual bruising for bleeding
  • light-colored stools
  • stomach pain
  • redness, blistering, peeling, or loosening of the skin, including inside mouth
  • skin rash, itching

What is the shelf life of the pills?
