What is Amiodarone?
Amiodarone is an antiarrythmic agent. It is used to treat variuos types of tachyarrhythmias (fasr forms of irregular heartbeat). It is also used to treat ventricular and supraventricular (atrial) arrhythmias. Due to it's significant side effects this is a medicine that is used when irregular heartbeats have not responded to other medicines.Tell your doctor if any of these apply to you:
- pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
- an unusual or allergic reaction to amiodarone, other medicines, foods, dyes, preservatives, or other substances
- other heart problems
- lung disease
- liver disease
- thyroid disease
How to use:
- Strictly follow your doctor's instructions
- Follow the directions on the prescription label
- Take your doses at regular intervals
- Do not stop taking Amiodarone until you are told so by your doctor
- If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can

Safety issues:
